Odoo 13 Quality Control Management
Odoo Quality Control Management provides a basic infrastructure for quality tests of production lots through checkpoints in the supply chain. It enables you to set up, manage, and track a quality control plan. Before looking at the functionality of the Quality control module, we will look at its purpose. The Quality Control module ensures the quality of a product at the time of manufacturing and transfer of the product take place. To ensure the quality of a product you need to first generate the Quality control point utilizing Odoo implementation services which include the overall execution of your quality control plan along with creating control points.
Quality control Points:
To generate a quality control point, follow the steps below:
Go to Quality module → Quality Control → Control points → Create
- Select title for the Control point.
- Select the product for which you want to generate the control point.
- Select the operations:
Receipts: When a product is received, the quality operations take place.
Delivery Orders: At the time of delivering a product the quality operations take place.
Manufacturing: At the time of manufacturing a product the quality operations takes place.
- Select the Control Type:
All Operations: By using this the quality check takes place in every operation.
Randomly: By selecting this new fields will come to control frequency to control quality.
Periodically: We have the control frequency on the basis of days/ weeks/ months to control quality.
- Select the Control Type:
Text: On the text type, enter the control point instructions that need to be taken at the time of transfer the product & manufacturing the product.
Take a Picture: after selecting this control type, attach the product picture and add instructions that need to be followed at the time of transfer the product & manufacturing the product.
Pass — Fail: Add instructions and also add a message if any failure occurs.
Measure: For this control type you need to select Norms and then enter tolerances for the product.
- After selecting all available fields in the form, click on the save button.
Generate Quality Alert:
You can Generate Quality alert from Manufacturing orders and from a transfer. By using the Manufacturing module you can create a quality alert by selecting operation as manufacturing at the time of creating a quality control point and for inventory you need to select Receipts as an operation.
Go to Manufacturing App → Select Operations → manufacturing Orders → Create a new
- Select Product, Quantity to produce, Routing, Bill of Materials, Deadline, Plan from & Responsible For this order.
- Add product on component tab.
- Click on the Save button.
- Mark AS TO DO to confirm the order.
- Click on CHECK AVAILABILITY to check availability of product components.
- Click on Plan to create work orders.
- Click on work orders to take further actions for your order.
- Click on the Process button to move your work orders into In-Progress state.
- Select your product on the validation screen. Click on the Validate button
- To generate individual quality alerts for the product, you need to select the product, then take action against the selected product.
- If the product matches with the instruction then select PASS otherwise select FAIL.
- You can generate Quality Alert if any failure occurs in manufacturing order.
- Or you can generate a quality alert for the overall product.
- Click on Hamburger Menu.
Select Quality Alert.
- To see your generated Quality Alert:
Go to Quality App→ Click on the Quality Alert
- To see Quality checks for the product:
Go to Quality App→ Quality Control→ Quality Check.
Reporting: In Quality control module there are two type of report:
- Quality Checks
- Quality Alerts
- Quality Team
You can create a Quality Team.
Go to Configurations → Quality Teams → Create a new
Quality Alert Stages:
- You can create Quality Alert stages.
Go to Configurations → Quality Alert Stages → Create a new
